What is fused glass?

Fused glass starts with a base piece of glass. You add colorful glass shapes, strips, frit and accents on top to build your design. The whole thing goes into a kiln, where the layers melt together into one smooth, glowing piece.

It is a completely beginner-friendly project. We show you how to score, nip, and cut the glass. You design, and we fire.

How it works at our shop

Because glass needs its own kiln schedule, finished fused glass pieces are picked up on a later visit. We will let you know when yours is ready.

  • Choose from the fused glass projects currently on the shelf as inspiration or check out our Pinterest board.
  • Arrange your glass pieces into a design that feels like you
  • Ask our shop team for friendly guidance at any point
  • Leave your design with us for kiln firing
  • Some projects can take an optional second firing to shape them into bowls, plates and other forms

Good to know before you come

Fused glass projects are recommended for ages eight and older. Younger artists are welcome to paint pottery instead, and plenty of families do both in the same visit.

Fused-glass project prices include the glass used in your design and the first firing. Hooks added to the piece and second firings are priced separately.

Project choices, sizes, pricing and availability change throughout the year, so our Square page is always the most current place to check before you plan around a specific project.
